Karthik Karathur

Karthik Karathur has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Karthik was the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Sustainability at Locus Fermentation Solutions, a microbial biochemical technology accelerator startup. Karthik contributed to the strategic portfolio development and go-to-market strategy of the company, working closely with the CEO and leadership team. Karthik was also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and President at Locus Agricultural Solutions, LLC, where they focused on positioning the company as a leader in sustainability and climate change solutions for agriculture. Additionally, they served as an Entrepreneur In Residence and President at Locus Bio-Energy Solutions, LLC, where they successfully built the company's chemical replacement oil services business. Karthik has also held leadership positions at Knowles Corporation, Words of Peace Global, McKinsey & Company, and C&S Wholesale Grocers, where they contributed to strategy development, transformational projects, and operational improvements. Karthik is currently a Board Member at RxCap.

Karthik Karathur holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Production Engineering from the University of Madras, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Karthik then pursued further studies and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing this program from 2000 to 2003.
