Daniel Griffin

Daniel Griffin has a diverse and extensive work experience in software engineering and data engineering. Their most recent role was as a Principal Software Engineer at Broadcom Inc. starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at LogRhythm in 2018.

From 2015 to 2019, Daniel worked at CA Technologies, where they held various roles including Senior Principal Software Architect, Principal Software Engineer/Tech Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they built a business analytics platform, created data and hosting platforms using various technologies such as Avro, Kafka, S3, Kubernetes, and Helm, and led the development and evaluation of new streaming technologies.

Before joining CA Technologies, Daniel worked as a Lead Engineer at Kapost from 2014 to 2015. Daniel led a Ruby on Rails development team and developed an analytics processing platform based on CouchDB.

From 2013 to 2014, Daniel was a Technical Lead at Rally Software, where they led a development team in implementing authentication services and porting applications from Cassandra to Datomic.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, Daniel worked as a Senior Software Engineer at OpDemand, where they implemented a monitoring system, maintained and expanded a cloud infrastructure management tool, and rewrote an AWS provider.

In 2010, Daniel worked as a Software Engineer at Textura LLC, where they maintained a web-based payment processing system and refactored the system to allow for credit cards.

From 2009 to 2010, Daniel worked as a Software Engineer at Connamara Systems. Daniel led development teams and created several unique products, including a securities database and client libraries using CouchDB and various programming languages.

From 2006 to 2009, Daniel worked as a Software Engineer at Vinzant Software. Daniel created a web management console using Pylons and developed an automated build system for Unix-like operating systems.

Daniel's career started in 2006 as a Development Intern at Spectrum Global.

Daniel Griffin attended DePaul University from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
