Krishnan Sankaranarayanan Fache

Krishnan Sankaranarayanan has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Krishnan is currently serving as the Director of Patient Safety at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, where they focus on improving care processes and implementing systems to prevent future harm. Previously, Krishnan worked as a JCI Administrator Surveyor at Joint Commission Resources from 2017 to 2023, conducting surveys for healthcare accreditation. Krishnan also held the position of Senior Safety Officer at Tawam Hospital in the United Arab Emirates from 2008 to 2020, where they managed patient safety, regulatory compliance, and international accreditation. Krishnan's earlier experience includes serving as a Business Development Manager at Deyafa Systems, where they handled software solutions for the healthcare industry.

Krishnan Sankaranarayanan FACHE, DFASHRM, FNAHQ, FISQua obtained an MBA in Hospital Management from Annamalai University from 2002-2005. In 2007, Krishnan earned certificates in continuous quality improvement from the Canadian Healthcare Association and healthcare risk management from the University of South Florida. In 2009-2011, Krishnan completed an MS in Patient Safety Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago. Krishnan further enhanced their education in patient safety by obtaining certifications from the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) and the International Society for Quality in Health Care in 2016. They also received a certificate in healthcare quality as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) in 2011. Krishnan's educational accomplishments continued with the attainment of certifications in healthcare risk management from the American Hospital Association in 2016 and medical quality as a Certified in Medical Quality (CMQ) from the American Board of Medical Quality in 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Krishnan became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) in 2021 and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in the same year. They were also awarded the designation of Fellow by the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in 2018. Lastly, Krishnan received the title of Distinguished Fellow from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, affiliated with the American Hospital Association, in 2017.
