Pieterjan Vereecke

Pieterjan Vereecke has a strong background in plant management and lean operations. Their most recent role was as the Plant Director for Lotus Bakeries, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at DS Smith for ten years, holding various positions including Site Manager, Works Manager, and Team Manager. Pieterjan also served as a Local Lean Champion during their time at DS Smith. Before joining DS Smith, Pieterjan worked at Sara Lee, where they gained experience as a Project Manager, Shift Supervisor, and Management Trainee in both technical and plant change agent roles. Overall, Pieterjan has a diverse and extensive work experience in manufacturing and management.

Pieterjan Vereecke earned a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Ghent University in 2007. Pieterjan went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Ghent University from 2007 to 2009. Prior to their university studies, Pieterjan attended Sint-Leo College Brugge, where they focused on a Science-mathematics curriculum.
