Kristofor Webb

Senior Scientific Lead, Bioassay at Loxo Oncology

Kristofor Webb, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in scientific research and development. Kristofor is currently working at Loxo@Lilly as a Senior Scientific Lead, Bioassay. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer as a Principal Scientist, Proteomics from February 2021 to April 2023.

From 2016 to 2021, Kristofor worked at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Scientist II. During their time there, they were responsible for developing proteomic technology for the DARPA SPARTA project. Kristofor also established a streamlined drug target deconvolution assay and developed quantitative timecourse assays for detecting protein abundance changes and phosphorylation states involved in cell signaling.

Before that, they worked at Colorado State University as a Staff Scientist from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they guided students and researchers in developing small molecule and metabolomic assays. Kristofor also implemented new methods for analyzing serum and urine samples and introduced new tools for data processing.

Kristofor started their career as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Diego in the Laboratory of Dr. Eric Bennett from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they optimized immunoprecipitation sample preparation protocols and developed quantitative mass spectrometry assays for protein ubiquitination. Kristofor also managed the operation of a mass spectrometer.

From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at The Scripps Research Institute in the Laboratory of Dr. John Yates III. Here, they developed an efficient peptide separation approach and profiled protein abundance changes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Kristofor completed their Ph.D. at UCLA, where they conducted research in the Laboratory of Dr. Steven Clarke. Kristofor'swork focused on establishing an intact protein mass spectrometry screening technique and discovering novel protein substrate pairs in yeast.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Dharmacon as a Research Associate II, where they were responsible for the synthesis and purification of nucleotides.

Overall, Kristofor Webb, PhD has a breadth of experience in scientific research and development, with expertise in proteomics, assay development, mass spectrometry, and protein analysis.

Kristofor Webb, PhD, obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College in 2000. Kristofor then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA in 2010. Kristofor also has additional certifications in R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates, obtained in 2015.
