Michael Decker

Michael Decker has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Their most recent position is as the Regional Recruitment Director at Loyola University Maryland, which they have held since March 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Western Regional Admission Representative at the same institution from September 2018 to March 2020.

Before joining Loyola University Maryland, Michael worked at Loyola University New Orleans for nearly a decade, holding various roles. From February 2014 to September 2018, they were the Senior Associate Director. Additionally, they served as the Interim Director of Admissions from September 2017 to January 2018. From June 2009 to February 2014, they worked as the Associate Director, where they were responsible for developing and implementing recruitment and communication strategies, managing all phases of recruitment, guiding prospective students and their families, and maintaining key relationships with high school staff members.

Prior to Loyola University New Orleans, Michael worked as a Student Affairs Assistant at UC San Diego from June 2008 to June 2009. Michael also gained experience in the beauty industry as the Director of The Aveda Institute at Beauty Basics, Inc from December 2005 to March 2008.

Michael Decker attended Southeastern Louisiana University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications.
