Research Mentor at Lumiere Education

Hao-Lun Hsu is currently an Autonomous Ultrasound AI Research Intern at Philips since June 2024, focusing on Reinforcement Learning for Ultrasound Guidance. Hsu serves as a mentor at learnSTEM since May 2024, working with high school students interested in Reinforcement Learning and Machine Learning. Hsu is also a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, engaged in robust Reinforcement Learning applications in robotics and neuromodulation. Additional roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant for courses in Algorithmic Game Theory and Data Science at Duke University. Previous positions include Research Mentor at Lumiere Education, Academic Research Associate at PathIvy, and Machine Learning Research Internships at Curai Health and Reazon Holdings, among others. Hsu's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Duke University, as well as two Master's degrees in Computational Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
