To support our rapid growth, we’re seeking a Director, Outbound Supply Chain reporting to our Senior Director, Supply Chain. In this role, you will lead strategic initiatives across our fulfillment and logistics processes, and partner relationships. You will drive operational excellence by optimizing both domestic and international fulfillment, improving costs, and ensuring we provide a best-in-class customer experience. This cross-functional role requires close collaboration with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Planning.
The role requires the candidate to be on-site up to 5 days per week in either the Austin, TX headquarters or San Antonio, TX-area fulfillment operation.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term vision for outbound logistics and fulfillment, ensuring scalability for global expansion and supporting ongoing business growth.
Cost Optimization: Drive strategies to minimize outbound costs (warehousing, fulfillment, shipping) while maintaining premium service levels and customer satisfaction.
Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee relationships with domestic and international 3PLs, freight vendors, and packaging suppliers. Create consistency in our multi-node fulfillment network. Ensure adherence to SLAs, performance metrics, and standard operating procedures.
Performance Tracking: Leverage data to track key metrics like cost per order, cost per parcel, click-to-ship, delivery times, and defect rates. Develop tools to monitor KPIs. Identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement; lead initiatives to resolve issues.
Process Innovation: Spearhead the development and implementation of process improvements, such as defect reduction, new sales channel fulfillment workflows, onboarding new carriers, or expanding into a new geography.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders in Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals, particularly as we expand across new markets and sales channels.
Leadership & Team Building: Build and mentor a team that can support Made In’s continued growth, both domestically and internationally. Serve as an internal and external champion of Made In and our customers.
Enable International Growth: Expand and oversee an international fulfillment network spanning both 3PL and Amazon fulfillment centers across multiple sales channels.
Service to the Customer: Act as the steward of our customers to obsess over and optimize the customer experience.
Who You Are:
You’re a curious, creative, detail oriented, and analytical thinker who’s passionate about making an impact on an organization. You have prior experience in a highly-analytical role and excel in both project and vendor management. You’ve led and coached a team to drive operational efficiencies in an agile, ever-changing environment. You operate well independently but are not afraid to ask for help when needed, and have a bias to implement and test solutions.

Familiarity with Shopify, NetSuite, and / or Looker
Background / academic experience with statistics, operations research or other math-intensive field
