Cedric Young

Senior Vice President, Project Management at Madison Marquette

Cedric Young is a 25-year plus veteran of real estate development and architecture. As Sr. Vice President of Project Management, Cedric is responsible for Madison Marquette’s development activity on the west coast. Projects include Bayfair Center Redevelopment, Bay Street Redevelopment, Melrose Collection , District La Brea and Oxbow Market. He first joined the company in 2005.

Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Cedric was Vice President of Development for Venture Corporation where he managed all aspects of the development and construction for Venture Commerce Center projects in South San Jose, Fremont, Fairfield, Antioch and Menlo Park, nearly 350,000 square feet. Both the South San Jose and Fremont projects were successfully sold out on its inventory of business condominiums.

Mr. Young was the Director of Construction for SYUFY Enterprises, a commercial real estate developer. He was also founder and managing partner of Ascent Management Group, and a co-founder and managing partner for the Chestnut Company, both development and construction management firms.

Mr. Young has worked for Starbucks Coffee Company and Gap, managing Starbucks’ aggressive west coast expansion and the Gap’s domestic and international expansion. Prior to working for the Gap, Cedric was an Associate in the architectural firm of Gensler and Associates, designing high-rise projects.

Cedric has a Master’s of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
