John Battaglini

John recently served as the Global Business Development Director for Lockheed Martin Energy since March 2016. He had responsibility for a portfolio that included short and long duration energy storage, energy efficiency, nuclear instrumentation & controls and waste-to-energy. During his tenure, his team secured orders totaling more than $1B+ including the first for energy storage.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, John was the Global Sales & Business Development leader for GE Energy Storage for 5 years. John joined the product line at its inception and led the global launch of energy storage in utility and renewable integration markets worldwide.

Prior to GE, John gained experience in the energy storage industry ranging from battery materials, lithium ion batteries & systems and fuel cells. Prior to his work in energy storage, John spent 15 years in the semiconductor industry in a variety of engineering and commercial roles, primarily in analog, power and telecom markets.

During his career, John has commercialized a number of new technologies in both billion dollar companies and startups in a variety of industries. John holds an MSEE from Clemson University, an MBA from Villanova University and a BSEE from Drexel University.
