Jose Francisco Velasco Davis

Jose Francisco Velasco Davis has extensive work experience in various roles within the lithium and industrial chemicals industry. Jose Francisco currently serves as the Commercial Vice President at Mangrove Lithium since June 2021. Prior to this, they were the Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development at Ajay-SQM Group from January 2019 to June 2021, where they provided leadership and direction to ensure the organization's strategic goals were met. Jose Francisco also served as a secretary of the board of directors.

Before their time at Ajay-SQM Group, Jose worked at SQM for several years in different sales manager positions. From January 2011 to December 2019, they were the Sales Manager for NAFTA, CA & Caribbean - I2, LI+ Ind. Chemicals & Specialty Plant Nutrition. From August 2008 to December 2010, they served as the Sales Manager for Mexico, C. America & Caribbean - I2, Li+ Ind. Chemicals & Specialty Plant Nutrition. And from May 2007 to August 2008, they held the position of Sales Manager for Mexico - Iodine, Lithium and Industrial Chemicals.

Jose began their career at Daimler AG in January 2006 as a Trade Marketing Manager, where they worked until May 2007.

Jose Francisco Velasco Davis has a diverse education history. Jose Francisco completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Marketing from the University of Birmingham in 2004. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1998, they earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara.

In addition to their formal degrees, Jose Francisco Velasco Davis pursued a diploma in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara in 2001.

Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: US Managers V4.1 from Traliant in August 2022.
