Amar Viswanathan

Amar Viswanathan has a diverse work experience, starting from Infosys where they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer. Amar has also worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center twice as Summer Research Intern, and at Siemens as a Senior Key Expert and Staff Research Scientist. At Verisk, they worked as an AI/ML Research Manager, and at Best Buy, they were a Lead Machine Learning Scientist. Amar recently worked at Latent AI, Inc. and is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Dataminr, where they work on building large-scale knowledge graphs and open relation extraction. Starting in 2023, they will mentor Manning Publications Co.'s live project series on Machine Learning for knowledge graphs with Neo4j. Amar Viswanathan has a strong background in NLP, Vision, and Language and prefers working hands-on with code and research proposals/papers.

Amar Viswanathan earned a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University in 2007. Amar later obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science, with a focus on Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Web, and Query Reformulation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2011 to 2017. Additionally, they have completed multiple certification courses in Applied Machine Learning in Python, Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Text Retrieval and Search Engines from Coursera. Amar also completed a Natural Language Processing Nanodegree from Udacity.
