What You'll Do

  • Ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for the US, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for our international subsidiaries, overseeing our outsourced payroll providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Serve as the go-to resource and subject matter expert for all United States payroll-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements across the US and Internationally, ensuring payroll processes are compliant.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the payroll function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with People Operations, Finance, and other departments to communicate and implement payroll-related changes, policies, and procedures.
  • Compile and analyze payroll data, producing regular reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Produce and/or review monthly payroll journal entries and other key reconciliations (401k, benefits, etc.) for the accounting department and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, implementations, and integrations related to existing or new payroll systems.
  • Provide leadership in addressing complex payroll issues and resolving escalations, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Be part of a fun and agile team that constantly seeks to support and develop each other in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Be a manager to currently one senior payroll analyst.

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) designation is a plus.
  • At least 5-7 years of payroll experience working on United States and international payrolls, with specific expertise in handling complex payroll processes and ensuring compliance across multiple countries.
  • Proficiency with leading payroll systems such as Rippling, ADP, UKG, and/or Workday.
  • Advanced skill level in Excel/Google Sheets for managing complex datasets and financial analysis, including creating complex formulas and functions.

Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $114,750 - $155,250 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
