Nikos Psaltopoulos

Nikos Psaltopoulos has over two decades of work experience in various industries. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer at MarineTraffic, where they lead the operations functions and collaborates with different teams to optimize and scale impact globally. Prior to this, Nikos worked as the Chief Consultant at Peoplekind, helping startups and companies create impact leadership and build strategy. Nikos also founded 1derground, a media company covering news and stories on entrepreneurship and design. Nikos has also served as an Advisory Committee Member at Brauz and Zendesk Sell, where they facilitated investment, product development, partnerships, and growth. Additionally, they have worked as the Head of Sales & Innovation at Brand Collective Pty Ltd and as the Regional Sales Manager at Abbott. Earlier in their career, Nikos worked as a journalist, producer, and presenter in the media industry. Overall, Nikos has demonstrated expertise in leadership, strategy, operations, and sales.

Nikos Psaltopoulos has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from Deakin University, with a focus on Education. In 1995 and 1996, they pursued further education at Holmesglen, obtaining a degree in Professional Writing & Editing, specializing in Communication and Media Studies. In 2011 and 2012, Nikos earned a Diploma of Management from the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, specializing in Business Administration, Management, and Operations.

Additionally, Nikos has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2022, they completed the Blockchain & Bitcoin Fundamentals course at the Blockchain Institute of Technology. In 2020, they became a Certified Facilitator of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology after training in Billund, Denmark with Inthrface. In 2018, they received certifications related to "Creating a Culture of Strategy Execution," "Design Thinking: Customer Experience," "Strategic Thinking," and "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" from Lynda.com.
