Rachel McGahern

Rachel McGahern has diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Global Director of People Success at MarketStar since January 2024. Prior to this, they were the Head of People Services EMEA at MarketStar from February 2020 to January 2024. Rachel also took a maternity break from March 2019 to January 2020. Before joining MarketStar, they worked as an HR Business Partner at Citi from October 2017 to February 2019, where they provided expert support and business partnering in various HR functions. Rachel has also held HR roles at Airbus Helicopters, National Treasury Management Agency, OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, OECD, Herbert Smith Freehills, Salans, and Approach People Recruitment.

Rachel McGahern completed their high school education at St Andrew's College in Dublin from 1998 to 2004. Rachel then went on to study French and Classical Civilisation at Trinity College Dublin from 2004 to 2009. In 2007-2008, they also attended Université Paris-Sorbonne, where they pursued a course in French language and civilization. Later on, from 2013 to 2014, Rachel pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at National College of Ireland. In 2014-2015, they continued their education at the same institution, earning a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management and Services.
