Apoorv Garg

Apoorv Garg currently serves as Vice President and Senior Managing Counsel at Mastercard, specializing in digital, core, and network products as well as regional strategic partnerships in Japan and Korea, a position held since November 2018. Previous roles include Director and Senior Counsel at Mastercard focusing on legal matters for digital payment products and partnerships, and Senior Associate at AZB & Partners where involvement was centered on private equity, venture capital funds, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial legal advisory. Apoorv's experience also encompasses a secondment as Legal Counsel at Google, where support was provided for the launch of Google Pay in India. Earlier career positions include senior associate roles in corporate transactions at ThemisGroup and Dua Associates, an associate at Amarchand Mangaldas focusing on M&A and joint ventures, and a legal officer at SEBI. Apoorv Garg obtained a BB.A, LL.B (Hons) in Corporate and Securities Law from National Law University, Jodhpur in 2009.
