Ben Tews

Ben Tews has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben started their career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they worked as an Analyst and later as a Bank Teller, providing financial analysis, completing transactions, and resolving customer concerns.

Ben then joined Troon as a Shared Accountant, where they prepared financial statements, provided controller level oversight, and coordinated schedules for multiple golf properties.

Afterward, Ben worked at FireRock Country Club as a Controller, managing accounting processes, producing financial statements, and serving as the onsite IT manager.

Ben then moved to Republic National Distributing Company as a Sales Finance Manager, where they ensured profitable margins and negotiated with suppliers.

Next, Ben joined Upward Projects Restaurant Group as an Accounting Manager, focusing on compliance, tax, and payroll operations.

Currently, they are the Managing Director of Finance at Mastermind.com, responsible for rebuilding the accounting department and providing oversight for the company's financial operations.

Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated strong financial analysis skills, modeling techniques, and the ability to work in challenging and fast-paced environments.

Ben Tews has a Master's degree in Data Analytics from Grand Canyon University, which they earned in 2018. Prior to that, in 2015-2016, they obtained a Master's degree in Accounting from the same university. Ben holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Upper Iowa University, achieved in 2013-2014. Additionally, they have an Associate's degree in Accounting from Scottsdale Community College, which they obtained in 2012-2013. Ben Tews graduated from Fountain Hills High School in 2010 and also attended Parkway West High in 2008-2009. Ben has obtained several certifications in the field of spirits, including CertTequila Level 1, Certified Bourbon Steward, Certified Bourbon Professional, Level 2 Award in Spirits, and Level 1 Award in Spirits.
