Samantha Jacques

Samantha Jacques, PhD, FACHE, AAMIF has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare and academic organizations. Samantha currently holds the position of Vice President, Clinical Engineering at McLaren Health Care since December 2019. Samantha is also an Executive Committee Member at the Health Sector Coordinating Council - Cybersecurity, starting from December 2021.

Furthermore, Dr. Jacques has been actively involved in several professional organizations. Samantha is a Board Member at AAMI since June 2022 and a Member of the Healthcare Technology Leadership Council since March 2019. Additionally, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at ACCE-American College of Clinical Engineering from August 2016 to August 2020.

Prior to their current roles, Dr. Jacques worked as the Director of Clinical Engineering at Penn State Health from November 2015 to November 2019 and as the Director of Biomedical Engineering at Texas Children's Hospital from June 2009 to October 2015.

In academia, Dr. Jacques held various positions at Milwaukee School of Engineering, including Program Director of Biomedical Engineering from August 2006 to May 2009 and Assistant Professor from August 2005 to May 2009. Samantha also served as an Assistant Professor at Bucknell University from 2003 to 2005.

Additionally, Dr. Jacques has editorial experience, having worked as an Editor for the BME Online Journal from 2005 to 2011.

Samantha Jacques, PhD, FACHE, AAMIF, earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2000. Samantha furthered their education at Louisiana Tech University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering in 2003. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as AAMIF Fellow from the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation in 2021 and FACHE Fellow from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2013. Samantha also has a certification in Lean Manufacturing.
