Kim Bullock

Kim Bullock has an extensive work experience in the field of compliance and privacy. Kim is currently serving as the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer at Medical West Hospital since September 2022. Previously, they held the same position at Restore Therapy Services from August 2011 to September 2022. During their tenure at Restore Therapy Services, they were responsible for overseeing compliance programs, risk management, and HIPAA Privacy for all three entities. Kim also provided guidance and consultation on risk management, quality assurance, and investigations.

Before that, Kim worked as the Chief Compliance Officer at Children's of Alabama from April 2007 to March 2011. In this role, they managed the development, implementation, and daily operations of a Compliance Program for approximately 3,000 employees. Kim reported quarterly to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and coordinated external audit reviews and appeals.

Additionally, Kim has a strong background in compliance and auditing as they served as the Corporate Compliance Officer and Director of Internal Audit at Medical West Hospital from February 1997 to April 2007. In this role, they designed and implemented the hospital's compliance program, conducted compliance training, and made regular presentations to the Board of Directors. Kim also developed internal audit department policies and procedures, performed various audits, and worked closely with management to discuss findings and issue reports.

Kim Bullock, CIA CHC CPC, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College, which was obtained in 1999. In addition to their degree, Kim has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2001 and a Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), SCCE & HCCA in March 2009. Kim is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certified by the AAPC.
