Chioma Ikonte

Chioma Ikonte, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of nutrition and wellness. Chioma has worked in various roles and positions, starting in 2008 at Herbalife Nutrition as a Senior Scientist. Chioma then moved on to Pharmavite, LLC, where they held multiple positions including Director of Science & Technology Innovation and Director of Nutrition Sciences. During their time at Pharmavite, they led the development and execution of innovative product initiatives and played a key role in implementing the Stage Gate initiative for improved productivity. Chioma also spearheaded the establishment of the Stability Review Committee and the Formulation Center of Excellence, resulting in improved product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Chioma later joined Metagenics as the Senior Director of Product Development before transitioning to SmartyPants Vitamins as the Vice President of Innovation, Research & Development. In these roles, they focused on strategic innovation, developing innovation roadmaps, and assessing technologies for the innovation pipeline. Chioma then briefly worked as an Innovation, Research & Product Development Consultant before becoming the Chief Executive Officer of El Roi Nutrition LLC. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Research and Development at Melaleuca: The Wellness Company.

Chioma Ikonte obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1995 to 2001.
