Henning Schlinkmann has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Japanese Translator for Freelance Translation in 2011. Henning then co-founded Dinomite Rexploitation Games in 2012 as a Software Developer, where they tested and provided additional programming and PR for a game called "Little Snake vs. The Almighty Dinosaur Kingdom." Henning later worked at Universität Tübingen from 2008 to 2013, serving as an Assistant to the Secretary of Japanese Studies and an Academic Tutor. In 2014, they joined Vision Critical as a Bilingual Member Support Specialist before transitioning to the role of Senior Technical Support Analyst. During their time at Vision Critical, Henning managed the resolution of technical issues for customers and ensured high levels of customer satisfaction. In 2018, they became the Head of Customer Success at Phrase, and later held the position of Tech Support Manager. Currently, Henning is serving as the Deputy Director of Technical Support at Phrase.

Henning Schlinkmann received their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Japanische Studien from the University of Tübingen from 2008 to 2014. Henning also obtained a Certificate of Completion in Japanische Studien from Ritsumeikan University in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they completed an Intensive course in Japanese (jôkyû nihongo) and received a Certificate from Doshisha University from 2007 to 2008.
