Sateesh Peri has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of bioinformatics, data science, and research. Sateesh has worked for various organizations and has contributed significantly to scientific research and data analysis.

Starting with their most recent role, Sateesh has been working as a Developer Advocate at MemVerge since July 2023. During this time, they led a project on automated extraction of contextual information from biomedical journals using machine-reading. Sateesh also conducted data gathering activities and applied life sciences theories and methods to interpret experimental results.

In addition to their work at the University of Arizona, Sateesh also worked as a Training Instructor at CyVerse.Org from August 2019 to March 2020. Here, they developed and led webinars on workflow management and RNA-seq data analysis.

Earlier in their career, Sateesh worked as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine from July 2018 to August 2019, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno from January 2016 to December 2018. In these roles, they gained experience in data gathering, laboratory techniques, and phylogenetic distribution analysis.

Furthermore, Sateesh has worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Amsterdam from September 2011 to August 2013, and as an Exchange Student at The University of Edinburgh in June and July 2009.
