Hossein Kalbasi

Hossein Kalbasi has a diverse work experience. Hossein started their career as a Data Engineer | Scientist at JITbase from December 2017 to December 2018. Hossein then worked as a Graduate Researcher - Data Scientist and Process Planner at Concordia University from September 2016 to May 2019. Following that, they held the position of Vice President of Technology at Teaching and Research Assistants at Concordia (TRAC) from May 2018 to May 2019. Hossein then joined ReactiveCore as a Data Scientist and Software Developer from January 2019 to March 2021. Afterwards, they worked at Concured in multiple roles including Data Engineer from March 2021 to November 2021, Data Scientist from December 2021 to February 2023, and AI Backend Lead from February 2023 to July 2023. From December 2020 onwards, they also worked as a Data Science Instructor and Mentor at Great Learning. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Data Scientist at Mercator AI since June 2023.

Hossein Kalbasi completed their Master of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering with a thesis focus on Industry 4.0 - AI/Software in Manufacturing at Concordia University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this, they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management from Isfahan University of Technology, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Hossein also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2013 to 2016. In terms of additional certifications, Hossein completed a course on Digital Manufacturing & Design from Coursera in August 2018. Hossein also obtained certifications in Artificial Intelligence: Bayesian Network - Representation and Inference from the Engineering and Computer Science Graduate Association (ECSGA) at Concordia University in August 2017, and in Industry 4.0 - From Concept to Implementation from Festo Canada in June 2017.
