XiangLin Tan

Principal Scientist, Director of Epidemiology at Merck

XiangLin Tan is a highly experienced epidemiologist and principal scientist currently serving as the Director of Epidemiology at Merck since March 2021. Prior to this role, XiangLin held the position of Associate Director of Epidemiology at Kelly Science & Clinical, providing services for Janssen from March 2020 to March 2021. XiangLin's academic career includes significant contributions as an Assistant Professor at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where over nearly eight years, XiangLin successfully acquired over $1.4 million in research funding and led a Phase II clinical trial in prostate cancer. Earlier roles include Senior Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic, contributing to pharmacogenetics research, and research positions at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Wadsworth Center. XiangLin Tan holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center and multiple degrees in medicine and health sciences from TongJi Medical College.
