Arta Brending has over 15 years of experience in human resources. Arta started their career as a Translator/Interpreter/Journalist at Norhtrop Grumman Mission Systems in 2003. Arta then worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Kellogg Brown and Root, where they managed HR operations for 5,000 employees. Arta later joined BP as a Resourcing Advisor, where they successfully led talent acquisition efforts and provided comprehensive training for senior leaders. Arta then worked at Mercuria Energy Trading as a Human Resources Business Partner, where they implemented effective recruitment and retention strategies. Arta also served as an HR Manager at Koch Supply & Trading, responsible for HR leadership and supporting line managers with performance management. Currently, Arta is the Head of Human Resources for North America at Mercuria Energy America, leading and managing a team of HR and Office Administration professionals and overseeing employee relations across multiple jurisdictions. Through their work, Arta has consistently delivered initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and save time and money.

Arta Brending's education history begins in 2005 when they attended the University of Prishtina in Kosovo. They studied Political Science and Public Administration there until 2007. Later, from 2010 to 2013, Arta attended the University of Houston, where they earned a degree in Political Science with a focus on Pre-Law Studies. In 2017, Arta returned to the University of Houston-Downtown to pursue further education. They completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management in 2018, and from 2017 to 2019, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Human Resources Management.
