Nicholas Mariani

Director, Cloud Engineering at MercuryGate

Nicholas Mariani has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as an Operations Intern at EnerVest, Ltd. Nicholas then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University and NASA AMES Research Center, where they contributed to the development of nanotechnology-based fuel cells and co-authored a paper in the Energy and Environmental Science Journal. In 2012, they served as a LARSS Intern at NASA Langley Research Center, where they built small-scale UAVs for flight testing. Following this, they joined Raytheon, first as a Systems Engineer supporting 24x7 operations and later as an Operations Support Systems Engineer. At NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Nicholas worked as a Systems Engineer, leading system design and agile development efforts for applications supporting global media operations. Nicholas'sresponsibilities included understanding business needs, designing solutions, and overseeing the development cycle. Most recently, they have been working at MercuryGate International, where they held multiple roles, including Senior DevOps Engineer, Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, and currently, Director of Cloud Engineering.

Nicholas Mariani attended West Virginia University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in 2016, and as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer from Oracle in 2014.
