Charlotte Swinson

Charlotte Swinson is currently the Director of Learning & Development at Merkle. Charlotte has been with the company since May of 2018 and in their current role for just over a year. Prior to becoming the Director, Charlotte was the Associate Director of Learning & Development and they oversaw all aspects of the L&D cycle including needs analysis, strategic vision setting, designing and delivering blended learning solutions, evaluating and refining programmes, and presenting success metrics to executives.

Under Charlotte's leadership, the Learning & Development department has launched several critical skills programmes including induction and leadership training. Charlotte has also spearheaded several DEI learning initiatives including antiracism training for executive leaders and designing & delivering barrier-free learning with Leonard Cheshire. Additionally, Charlotte leads the Coaching Centre of Excellence team which is responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative coaching interventions.

Charlotte is also responsible for managing the L&D budget and they have been successful in aligning the budget with the business' needs. In their time at Merkle, Charlotte has shown herself to be an effective leader and they have successfully supported several organisational changes including change leadership for executives and managing change effectively for employees.

Charlotte Swinson has a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from The University of Sheffield. Charlotte also has a CIPD - Level 5 Certificate from Watson Martin, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education - Primary from the University of Leeds. In addition, Charlotte has various certifications from LinkedIn, including Leading Your Team Through Change, Coaching and Developing Employees, Your L&D Organization as a Competitive Advantage, Creating a Culture of Learning, Cultivating a Growth Mindset, and Organizational Learning and Development.
