Maja Pantic

Maja Pantic is an accomplished academic and research leader in the field of affective and behavioral computing, currently serving as the Generative AI Research Director at Meta since April 2023. Maja has held a professorship at Imperial College London since April 2006 and has previously worked as the AI Scientific Research Lead at Facebook from April 2020 to April 2023. Prior roles include Research Director at Samsung Electronics' Artificial Intelligence Centre and Scientific Advisor at Realeyes - Emotional Intelligence. Maja's academic career began with positions at Delft University of Technology and the University of Twente. Maja earned a PhD, as well as BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science, all from Delft University of Technology.
