Bart Van Miegem

Bart Van Miegem has a diverse work experience across multiple companies. Bart currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Metamaze, where they utilize AI to automate document processing tasks. Metamaze is an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solution that enables companies to process, extract, and structure information from various documents. Prior to this, Bart worked as a Freelance Full Stack Software Engineer at Softsight in 2019. In 2017, they joined TomTom as a Software Engineer, specializing in machine learning and Big Data analysis for detecting restriction updates in maps. Before that, Bart worked as a Web & Mobile Engineer at Codifly from 2016 to 2017. Bart began their career as an IT Technician at Tupperware Belgium N.V. in 2014.

Bart Van Miegem completed their Bachelor of Computer Science at Ghent University in September 2015. Bart then went on to pursue a Master of Computer Science at the same institution, specializing in Industrial Science. Bart successfully obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from Ghent University in September 2016. Prior to attending Ghent University, Bart Van Miegem completed their secondary education at Sint-Jozefscollege Aalst, focusing on the sciences and sports.
