Giovanni Genovesi is currently the CIO of [MetLife](/org/metlife)'s LATAM division. Giovanni has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, working in a variety of different positions and companies. 

Giovanni started their career at Roche Pharmaceuticals in 2011, where they were the Global IT Head for Enterprise Business Applications. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of 100+ employees across the globe, overseeing the development and operations of the company's ERP/SAP, Compras/ARIBA, Business Intelligence/BW, and Collaboration platforms. Under Giovanni's leadership, the team was able to successfully reduce operational costs by 12%. 

In 2013, Giovanni left Roche Pharmaceuticals to join Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. as the Group IT Account Executive for Latin America. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the company's IT strategy and operations for the region. Giovanni successfully consolidated multiple ERP systems into a single regional SAP system, covering over 30 countries. 

In 2015, Giovanni left Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. to join Swiss Re as the IT Head Latin America & Brazil / Swiss Re - CorSo. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of employees across Latin America and Brazil, overseeing the development and operations of the company's IT infrastructure.
