Jyri Alajoki

Jyri Alajoki has over 20 years of work experience in the field of internal audit. Jyri is currently the VP of Internal Audit at Metso Outotec since December 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Internal Audit at Valmet from May 2017 to December 2021. Jyri also held the position of Internal Audit Director at UPM from January 2014 to April 2017, and Internal Audit Manager at UPM from January 2012 to December 2013. Jyri Alajoki worked as an Internal Auditor at Rautaruukki Oyj from September 2009 to 2011. Before that, they gained experience as a Senior Internal Audit Consultant at Discovery Communications Europe from August 2007 to October 2009, and as a Senior Auditor at HutchisonWhampoa (Europe) from May 2006 to September 2007. Jyri began their career as a Senior Auditor at EY from October 2001 to April 2006.

Jyri Alajoki earned a Master of Science in Economics with a specialization in Accounting from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu between 1996 and 2001. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2012.
