Shaunna Taylor

Shaunna Taylor has extensive work experience in healthcare operations and management. Shaunna is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Clinic Operations at Samaritan Health Services since August 2023. Before joining Samaritan Health Services, they worked at The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. as the Regional Director of Strategy & Programs from September 2022 to August 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Executive Director at John Muir Health in 2022. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Practice Operations at Stanford Health Care. Before Stanford Health Care, they worked as the Director of Clinic Operations at Dignity Health from 2019 to 2020.

Shaunna also has experience in clinical operations management, having served as the Clinical Operations Manager at Sutter Health - Palo Alto Medical Foundation from April 2012 to August 2019. Additionally, they gained leadership skills and management experience during their time in the U.S. Coast Guard. Shaunna served as a Manager and Boatswains Mate in the Reserves from October 2009 to February 2013 and in Active Duty from October 2005 to October 2009.

Prior to their career in healthcare and the Coast Guard, Shaunna worked in various roles such as a Skydiving Manifest Receptionist at Adventure Center Skydiving in 2010-2011 and a Deckhand at STRIKE ZONE OREGON SALMON CHARTER FISHING in 2005. Shaunna also worked as a Horse Trainer at Idaho Taylor Elk Ranch from June 2002 to May 2005.

Shaunna Taylor has a diverse education history. Shaunna completed selected coursework in "Human Resource Analytics" at Cornell University from 2022 to 2023. Shaunna also took courses in "Toyota Kata: Coaching Kata & Improvement Kata" at the Lean Enterprise Institute in 2015. In addition, they participated in various training programs, including "Leading Strategy with Focus and Agility" at the AME San Francisco Bay Area Consortium in 2020 and "Designing Innovative Team-Based Care Models: Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH)" at ACShaunna Learning in 2020.

Shaunna has a strong background in executive leadership training, having completed the program at Sutter Health University from 2014 to 2019. Shaunna holds an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix, specializing in Health Care/Business Administration/Management, which they obtained in 2013. Shaunna also completed their BSHA/HM degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Phoenix in 2012. Additionally, Shaunna pursued selected coursework at Boise State University in 2009.

Shaunna has obtained numerous certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Shaunna holds certifications in "Financial Management Certificate (FMC): The Principles of Practice Management (PPMC)" and "Operations Management Certificate (OMC): The Principles of Practice Management (PPMC)" from MGMA (obtained year is 2023). Shaunna also obtained a certification in "Organizational Learning and Development" from LinkedIn (obtained year is 2023). Furthermore, they received the "Strategy Development & Deployment: Hoshin Kanri Certified" certification from the Lean Enterprise Institute in 2022.

Shaunna has completed leadership training certifications such as "Clinical Effectiveness Leadership Training (CELT)" and "Realizing Improvement through Team Engagement (RITE)" from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2021, and "The Exceptional Leader: Successful, Scalable, and Impactful Leadership" from Stanford University in 2018. Shaunna also holds certifications such as "Sutter Certified Leader III (Director)", "ACE: Accelerated Change Excellence: Leadership Training Certification", and "MCE: Management and Clinical Excellence: Leadership Training Certification" from Sutter Health, all obtained in 2018 and 2017.

Shaunna is also certified in "Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers" from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in 2012.
