Job description

As an IT Support Specialist you will serve as the primary point of contact for MIM team members for software and hardware support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, IP telephony, and audio/visual equipment. This position also handles the creation and testing of USBs distributed to MIM’s customers.  You must have a strong sense of urgency, the ability to multitask and prioritize with a customer service mindset. This position requires direct knowledge and experience of the daily technologies used throughout the company.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software by answering team member questions, training users on basic system and computer functions, addressing system and user issues, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform effective root-cause analysis to troubleshoot, diagnosis and resolve technical challenges for MIM team members with a customer service mindset
  • Provide strong communication to the key stakeholders as you work to resolve issues or when working on internal projects
  • Adhere to guidelines when setting up demo PCs and workstations ordered by MIM Software external customers
  • Partner with IT team members in the United States and in China on technical issues to ensure employees in all timezones can have issues remediated effectively
  • Responsible for adhering to MIM Software Quality System guidelines and accurate record keeping in our internal systems
  • Maintain technical knowledge and industry trends by participating in Continuing Educational opportunities, and routine reading of industry related publications/blogs/etc

What You'll Need

  • 2 years plus of experience in a help desk, services desk, or IT related position
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, computer networking skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Updated knowledge of desktop operating systems and basic understanding of server systems
  • Strong anti-virus and anti-malware, software and hardware knowledge is required
  • Problem-solving skills including identification of issues, obstacles, and opportunities and development and implementation of effective solutions
