Matt Daniels

Special Teams Coordinator at Minnesota Vikings

Matt Daniels has been the Special Teams Coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings since 2020. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Special Teams Coach for the Los Angeles Rams from 2018-2020, and before that, they were the Defensive Graduate Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2014-2015, Daniels was a safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and from 2012-2014, they were a safety for the St. Louis Rams.

Outside of their football career, Daniels has also been involved in business. Matt was a co-owner of Middle Child Clothing from 2011-2013, where they were responsible for sales and customer service. Matt has also worked in student activities at Duke University from 2010-2012. In addition to their full-time work, Daniels has also referee flag football and basketball games for Duke University Intramurals from 2010-2012.

Matt Daniels attended Duke University for their undergraduate degree, where they majored in public policy studies with a markets and management certificate. Matt is currently working in the public policy field.

Matt Daniels works with Kennedy Polamalu - Running Backs Coach, Ben Kotwica - Assistant Special Teams Coach, and Adam Zimmer - Co-Defensive Coordinator & Linebackers Coach. Their manager is Kevin O'Connell, Head Coach.
