Mridula Venugopal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Mridula currently serves as the Chief People Officer at MiQ since November 2018. Prior to this, from April 2016 to November 2018, they worked as the Head of Human Resources at JCPenney.

Before their time at JCPenney, Mridula held multiple roles at Target. From April 2011 to April 2016, they served as the Senior Manager in Learning and Development, leading key projects such as strategic priorities formulation and leadership programs. Before that, they were a Manager in HRG, where they focused on talent planning, career development, and team engagement. Mridula also worked as a Senior Business Partner-HRG, partnering with Analytics and Enterprise teams on talent routines.

Prior to Target, Mridula worked at IIHT as a Senior Manager, where they managed the Human Resources function from August 2006 to March 2009. Mridula also worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Manager in Staffing from August 2004 to August 2006.

In their early career, Mridula served as a Senior HR Specialist at Cranes Software from August 2001 to August 2004. Here, they set up the HR function, managed talent acquisition and development, and oversaw performance management of sales teams in various locations. Mridula also played a key role in setting up a team of statistical analysts and technology experts at the Bangalore Development Center of Excellence.

Mridula Venugopal completed their MBA in Human Resources and Information Technology from Alliance Business Academy between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a BBM in Marketing from Jyothi Nivas College in Bangalore from 1996 to 1999. Mridula obtained their high school education from Carmel Convent High School, from 1989 to 1994.
