Materials Engineer II at Mitra Chem

Tito Colmenares has a diverse work experience. Tito is currently working as a Materials Engineer at Mitra Chem since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cummins Inc. from 2018 to 2022, where they held multiple positions including Senior Product Engineer, Senior Laboratory Operations Engineer, and Laboratory Operations Engineer. In these roles, they led a team of 7 to update and maintain international labs for air filtration systems, revised ISO standards to hold competitors accountable, and managed the development of an automated system to rework defective parts.

Between 2017 and 2018, Tito worked at Xact Metal as an Aerospace Engineer, where they designed and modeled solutions for metal powder-bed fusion 3D printers. Before that, they interned at X Material Processing as an Engineering Intern in 2017.

Tito also gained valuable experience during their time at Penn State University, where they worked as a Student Assistant from 2015 to 2017, conducting studies and performing fits on theoretical models. Tito also served as a Tutor during a semester. Additionally, they interned at Quotidian Ventures in 2015, where they conducted product evaluations, customer outreach, and created market studies and competitor analysis for funded startups.

Lastly, Tito had a role as a Student Athlete at Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Berks in 2014, where they led a team of 16 students in cross-country meets and maintained a rigorous training schedule. Tito also worked as a Student Consultant at MyLawsuit.com in 2013, where they developed a marketing strategy and presented progress updates and findings.

Tito Colmenares attended Santiago de Leon de Caracas from 2000 to 2014 and obtained a High School Diploma in Science. Following that, they pursued higher education at Stanford University in 2013, where they completed a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2018, Tito attended Penn State University and earned a Bachelor of Science - BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.
