Pilot Plant Engineer - Hydrogen at Modern Electron

Christian Nubar Hovsepian, MSc, P.Eng. has a wealth of experience in engineering. Christian Nubar began their career in 2010 as an Engineering Intern at Bosch, where they conducted research on corrosion faults in the selective soldering process for the fabrication of printed circuit boards for automotive electronics. In 2011, they worked as an Engineer at Perforacion Conagua CA. In 2012, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Calgary, where they were responsible for the design, construction, and operation of a bench scale pilot plant for the extraction and upgrading of heavy oil using the catalytic In Situ Upgrading Technology (ISUT) and SAGD. Christian Nubar also conducted process simulation (VMGSim) of a partial central processing facility of the In Situ Upgrading Technology for the estimation of mass and energy balances, as well as crude quality estimations. In addition, they conducted life cycle assessment, including novel technology assessment and GHG emissions estimates using energy and environmental systems approach. In 2015, they worked as a Research Engineer at PC-CUPS Ltd. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Process Engineer and then an Int. Process Engineer (EIT) at Rangeland Engineering. In 2022, they began working as a Pilot Plant Engineer - Hydrogen at Modern Electron.

Christian Nubar Hovsepian, MSc, P.Eng. has a comprehensive education history. Christian Nubar obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar between 2005 and 2011. In 2009 and 2010, they participated in an International Exchange Program at the University of Stuttgart in Chemical Engineering. From 2012 to 2015, they studied at the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Energy and Environmental Systems.
