Amanda Sorrento

Amanda Sorrento is currently the VP, Head of R&D HR at Moderna Therapeutics. Amanda has over 17 years of experience in Human Resources.

Amanda started their career at Pepsi Beverages Company in February 2003. Amanda held various roles of increasing responsibility over the next 7 years, including individual contributor and leadership roles, union and non-union roles, and specialist and business partner roles.

In May 2010, they moved to Nestle USA as the Director of Human Resources for the DSD Division. In this role, they led HR strategy and execution for a $4B division with 4200 employees. Amanda also led a team of 19 HR business partners and compensation professionals.

In February 2014, Amanda Sorrento became the Head of HR, Worldwide Medical at Biogen. Amanda held this position for over 3 years before moving to Beacon Health Options in November 2017 as their VP, Head of Human Resources.

Amanda Sorrento has been with Moderna Therapeutics since July 2020 and is currently their VP, Head of R&D HR.

Amanda Sorrento is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned their B.S. in Psychology and their MHRIR in Human Resources.

Amanda Sorrento reports to Tracey Franklin, Chief Human Resources Officer. They are on a team with Andrew Dobos - VP, Organization and Talent Development, Stephanie Engels - VP, Head of HR Business Partnerships, Commercial & G&A, and Laurel Ostrom - VP, HR Business Partnerships.
