Jamel Markx has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jamel started their career as a New Media Marketing and Promotions Intern at Mass Appeal Entertainment in 2008. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Assistant Teacher at Blue Bear School Of Music. Subsequently, they joined Live365 as a Technical Support Representative from 2013 to 2014, where they also served as an Account Executive. At Zenefits, they held multiple roles including Inbound Sales Development - Team Lead, SMB/Mid-Market Sales Development, and Enterprise Sales Development. Jamel worked at Veem as an Account Executive and later as a Customer Success Manager, Lead. At TripActions, they served as a Customer Success Manager and later as a Customer Marketing Manager, where they built the company's first customer advocacy program. Before joining their current role as a Senior Program Manager, Customer Success at MongoDB in 2023, they worked at Slack as a Program Manager in Digital Customer Success, where they played a key role in developing and scaling the influencer engagement event program.
