Selden Swain is currently the SVP of Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Engineering at Motiv Power Systems. Prior to this, Selden was the Managing Director at Solins Limited from January 2020 to May 2022. At Solins, Selden was responsible for new business development and serving clients, successful project delivery, managing teams and client relationships. Additionally, Selden was called upon globally to provide clients with functional expertise on topics related to operational transformations and turnarounds.

During Selden's time at Solins, they worked on a case study with a manufacturer in Bangladesh. The case study allowed Solins to support the acquisition and integration of a new manufacturing site, transfer the employees to the new company and develop a transformation roadmap to catapult growth and accelerate tangible results. Within 6 months on the project, the team delivered 63% improvement in End of Line Quality Internal Indicators, 31% improvement in efficiency, implemented a 2-shift operation, increased monthly capacity by 98%, and delivered 28% better than budget in total manufacturing cost per minute.

Selden Swain has an executive education from the High Performance Leadership Program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Selden also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Lastly, they have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Selden is also certified from Ford Motor Company in 6 Sigma Black Belt and from the United States Air Force in Certifed Program Management Professional (PMP).
