Todd Hunter

Counsellor, Counselling Services at MOUNT SAINT VINCENT UNIVERSITY

Todd is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. As a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association, Todd has worked with individuals, groups and organizations throughout Canada as well as abroad. His therapeutic approach employs Drama Therapy techniques paired with Client-centered therapy (a humanistic approach), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He focuses on an integrative holistic therapeutic experience for his clients which aids in building resilient, inner strength for individuals in need of support.

While his counselling services are open to all identities he specializes in supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. His is a safe, nurturing and soul feeding environment for healing.
