Sascha J. Welz

Sascha J. Welz has worked for six different companies since 2003. Sascha J. began their career at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Post Doctorate in the Interface Physics Group in 2003. In 2005, they joined Nalco as an R&D Group Leader, Project Leader and Sr. Research Scientist. In 2011, they moved to Ecolab as an RD&E Program Leader. In 2014, they were Technical Director R&D Innovation and Microbiology at Valspar. In 2017, they were Sr. Director New Product and Process Development at Albemarle Corporation. Most recently, in 2021, they became Chief Operating Officer at MyLand Agriculture, A Soil Health Company.

Sascha J. Welz received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical Institute of Karlsruhe, Germany between 1992 and 1999.
