Kevin Dockendorf serves as the Coastal Region Fisheries Research Coordinator for the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission since January 2003, leading significant research initiatives including a Largemouth Bass Movement Study using acoustic telemetry. Kevin has also held roles such as District Fisheries Biologist and Fisheries Biologist, where responsibilities included biological surveys, research project planning, and technical monitoring on funded university projects. Prior to this, Kevin gained experience at the University of Florida as a Graduate Research Assistant and Fisheries Research Technician, conducting research on crappie recruitment. Earlier roles included positions at the Illinois Natural History Survey and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, providing foundational experience in fisheries management and ecological assessments. Kevin holds a Master of Science in Fish and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University.
