Dr Katrin Gerber

Dr. Katrin Gerber is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne since November 2020 and a Research Fellow at the National Ageing Research Institute since April 2019. With experience as a Casual Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology from February 2019 to November 2020, Dr. Gerber also worked as a private tutor from June 2011 to June 2019, preparing students for exams and teaching research methods and statistics. Dr. Gerber completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne, focusing on decision-making processes of terminally ill patients and their family caregivers, and has held various academic roles across reputable institutions, including tutoring in areas related to developmental psychology and dementia care. Dr. Gerber's background includes research assistant positions in linguistic and psychological studies with infants, along with experience as a psychological assistant. Educational accomplishments include a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Psychology from the University of Potsdam, and a Bachelor of Psychology from the same institution.
