Scott B. Weingart has a diverse background in digital scholarship and data analysis. Scott B. currently holds the position of Chief Data Officer and Inaugural Director of the Office of Data and Evaluation at the National Endowment for the Humanities. Prior to this, they were the Inaugural Director of the Navari Family Center for Digital Scholarship at the University of Notre Dame from 2021 to 2022. Scott B. also served as the Program Director of Digital Humanities at Carnegie Mellon University from 2015 to 2021. Before that, they worked as a Research Associate at the Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center at Indiana University from 2009 to 2015. Scott has also worked as a Data Scientist, Analytics Consultant, and Data Consultant through various organizations and institutions, including Stanford University, NASA, The Bodleian Libraries at the University of Oxford, and Huygens ING. Scott B. began their career as a Research Assistant and Digital Library Center Intern at the University of Florida.
Scott B. Weingart completed their Bachelor's degree in History of Science and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida from 2005 to 2009. Scott B. then pursued their Master of Science in Data Science at Indiana University Bloomington until 2019. Currently, they are working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History of Science and Information Science at Indiana University Bloomington.
