Keerti Gopal

Keerti Gopal is an experienced journalist and storyteller with a strong background in climate reporting. Currently serving as a Reporter at Inside Climate News since January 2024, Gopal also holds the title of National Geographic Explorer with the National Geographic Society since October 2021. Previous roles include Editorial Fellow at The Lever, Climate Initiative Cohort Fellow at the Solutions Journalism Network, and Summer Fellow at Inside Climate News. Gopal has contributed as an Independent Filmmaker for One World Media and was a Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellow. Gopal's early experience includes an internship focused on grant writing and reporting at Challenging Heights. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Creative Writing from Northwestern University.
