Christopher K.

Christopher K. serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder at Understory since June 2019, while also pursuing a PhD in Biology at Stanford University from 2019 to 2025. Christopher holds the position of National Geographic Explorer as of October 2023 and is a US Fulbright Fellow with the U.S.-Italy Fulbright Commission for the period from October 2023 to June 2024. Previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation from 2018 to 2023, a US Fulbright Fellow in 2014, a Biological Science Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey from January 2013 to January 2014, and a Field/Lab Research Technician and Junior Research Specialist at the University of California, Davis from January to November 2012. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, academic experience includes studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2009 to 2010.
