Amy Romer

Amy Romer is a journalist and visual storyteller with extensive experience in child welfare and education reporting, currently working at IndigiNews since August 2021. In addition to the role at IndigiNews, Amy serves as a visual journalist for the Global Reporting Centre, contributes writing to The Walrus and The Philanthropist Journal, and has held various positions as a photographer with PLEA Community Services Society of BC, The Globe and Mail, and MOSAIC. Amy has been recognized as a National Geographic Explorer since December 2018 and maintains a photography business. Educational qualifications include a BA(Hons) in Photography from Falmouth University and a foundation degree in Lens Media from Exeter College.
