Jonathan Nowlin

Principal Engineer at National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative

Jonathan Nowlin has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Jonathan started their career at Sprint in 1999 as an RF Engineer, specializing in cellular network design and planning. Jonathan then moved to Verizon Wireless in 2001 and continued working as an RF Engineer, responsible for various tasks including coverage expansion, capacity enhancements, and regulatory filings. In 2007, they joined Eaton as a Mesh Network Principal Engineer and worked there until 2023. Currently, they are a Principal Engineer at NRTC, where they are a member of the Smart Grid Technology Planning team, developing tailored technology roadmaps for member cooperatives.

Jonathan Nowlin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999. Prior to that, they attended Carleton College from 1993 to 1994 before transferring. Jonathan completed their education with an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management in 2004.
