Kristal Jones is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in socio-environmental synthesis, agriculture, and development. Serving as the Principal Researcher at JG Research and Evaluation since January 2019 and as a Research Affiliate at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center since July 2015, Kristal focuses on interdisciplinary projects that advance social science programs. Prior roles include Research Consultant for Oxfam America, Conservation Social Scientist at the Center for Large Landscape Conservation, and Postdoctoral Researcher at Penn State University, where contributions included leading international assessments related to agricultural education. Kristal's academic background includes a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Rural Sociology from Penn State University, and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
